Six years. Every type of dog.

I started CK9s303 after six years working across the full spectrum of dog training: sport dog development, service dog candidate work, behavioral modification, and everyday pet training. Most trainers specialize in one area. I didn't want to.

The reason is simple: behavioral problems and sport drive often show up in the same dog. A service dog candidate needs the same obedience foundation as a family pet, just taken further. Treating these as separate disciplines means missing how they connect.

The approach

Every session starts with observation, not a script. I want to understand your dog's threshold, drive level, and what has and hasn't worked before we add anything new. That's why the assessment is part of the intake for anything serious — it's not a sales step, it's information I need to build a protocol that actually fits.

I work with positive reinforcement as the baseline and adapt from there based on the dog. I'll tell you what I'm doing and why, every session.

Denver-based, in-person and remote

Most sessions happen at your home or in the field — real environments, not a training-center bubble. Remote consults available for owners outside Denver or between in-person sessions.

Start with the behavioral assessment if you're not sure where you fit. It takes 90 minutes, you leave with a written plan, and it tells both of us whether a longer program makes sense.
